Maxi integrates ATM money transfer service

Maxi, a remittance company, recently partnered with Pin4 to deliver money transfer services. Pin4 will allow users to send money to Maxi agents, who then can push it out to more than 20,000 independent ATMs in the U.S., according to a press release.

When customers send the money through a Maxi agent, the recipient will receive an text notification as well as directions to the nearest ATM where they can pick up the cash.

"It's clear demand is shifting more toward digital P2P methods in fund transactions," Richard Witkowski, CEO at Pin4, said in the release. Customers are increasingly dependent on technology but there are still so many underbanked individuals. Cash remains an important form of payment — well above debit and credit cards, online banking, and physical checks.
