March Networks intros high-def, low-cost SE2 camera series
March Networks, a provider of intelligent IP video solutions has introduced its SE2 Series IP cameras delivering 1080p video and a wide range of advanced features for indoor and outdoor applications, a company press release said.
The new cameras feature a smart low bit rate setting that reduces bandwidth and storage consumption by 50 percent or more, making the SE2 Series IP cameras a cost-effective option for businesses with dozens or hundreds of surveillance cameras, the company said.
The series is compatible with all March Networks video recording platforms, and can be managed easily with March Networks Command Enterprise video management software, the company said.
The SE2 Series cameras are also compatible with third-party video recording systems via the ONVIF Profile S standard, the release said.
The line includes three distinct models, each available with multiple mounts and accessories. These include:
SE2 Indoor NanoDome — features a low-profile dome with a 134-degree field of view. In surface mount applications, wires terminate inside the camera, eliminating the need for a separate housing. Other features include a three-axis gimbal and a 90-degree hallway mode to capture vertically oriented scenes.
SE2 Indoor IR Dome — employs high dynamic range and integrated infrared LEDs to capture high-quality video in challenging lighting conditions. Other features include hallway mode, remote zoom and focus and an EMT mount that attaches to an unthreaded pipe for high ceiling installations.
SE2 Outdoor IR Dome — features a ruggedized dome protected by a weatherproof, vandal-resistant enclosure. Other features include HDR, IR and P-Iris for clear video capture in varying lighting and at all distances within the field of view. The camera incorporates hallway mode, a three-axis gimbal and remote zoom and focus.
Each SE2 Series camera carries a unique QR code that a technician can scan with a smartphone or tablet equipped with March Networks' free GURU smartphone app. This allows the tech to access product serial numbers, warranty status, video tutorials and product manuals, run installation audits, submit an express RMA and more, the release said.
