Major bank switches to Transoft for currency management

September 30, 2002

CARY, N.C. -- Transoft International says it has signed an agreement with a top 10 U.S. financial institution to switch from a competitors' product to Transoft's OptiCa$h-Pro Currency Supply Chain Management software.

The institution, which was not named in a news release, has approximately 6,000 ATMs.

Transoft develops software that applies operations research and statistical analysis to the cash inventory management and balancing of cost components, which it says provides a large recurring cost savings in ATM, branch and vault networks.

Included in its Currency Supply Chain Management suite are: OptiCa$h, an optimization and end-to-end processing tool for currency management; OptiNet, an integrated Web-enabled branch communications tool; and OptiVault, a vault consolidation analytical application optimizing currency and coin ordering, denomination management and clearing methods for bank money rooms and carrier vaults.
