Two women named Sarah Doremus and Buzz Masters recently installed a broken ATM in a rural area in North Deer Isle in Maine as a practical joke. The police picked up the ATM and returned it to the two pranksters, according to a report by Bangor Daily News.
The women often play jokes on the residents, such as nailing a medicine cabinet containing bug spray, nail polish and a copy of the U.S. Constitution to a tree.
They found the ATM in a dump, then deployed it on their neighbor's driveway and then in a garage before taking it to the woods, where police found it and returned it to the women, who said they expect to use the ATM to play additional pranks.
"A friend of ours is an engineer. He promised to make a motion detector solar light so that it can light up whenever anybody goes near it," Doremus said in the report.
