Lynk named one of Atlanta's fastest-growing companies

January 10, 2002

ATLANTA -- Lynk Systems, Inc., an electronic transaction processing company, has been named Atlanta's 13th fastest-growing private company by the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Pacesetter list.

Based on a formula of employee and revenue growth, the Pacesetter list ranks the top 50 rapid-growth, private companies in the Atlanta metro area. To be considered for the 2000 list, a company must have been headquartered in Atlanta, had more than 10 employees, had total sales between $1 million and $500 million and achieved at least 50 percent sales growth from 1998-2000.

According to a Lynk press release, its revenue surged from about $87.5 million in 1998 to about $194.5 million in 2000. And during that two-year period, the staff increased from 297 employees to 527.

President and CEO Ed Uzialko attributes Lynk's growth to its role in the electronic transaction processing industry. "Our industry is consolidated, and there is a need for a new, up-and-coming player," he said.
