ATLANTA - Payment processor Lynk Systems has changed its company name to RBS Lynk, following its recent acquisition by The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
According to a news release, the goal of the name change is to leverage the strength of the RBS brand name and to more visibly align Lynk as a subsidiary of the RBS Group of companies.
"The combination of RBS and Lynk in our corporate name allows us to capitalize two brands known for excellence in technology and service," said Erik Hendricks, president and CEO of RBS Lynk.
As part of the RBS Group's U.S. holdings, RBS Lynk will report up through the Citizens Financial Group, which is part of the newly created division Retail Direct, USA. The new division is focused entirely on the payment processing industry.
