LONDON - LINK Interchange Network Ltd, the company that processes transactions for the UK's LINK ATM network, recently processed its one millionth prepaid mobile phone top-up.
The service, which was launched last year, is available to prepaid customers of the Vodafone, Orange, O2, Virgin, TESCO and T-mobile networks at more than 16,000 ATMs, following the recent addition of 4,000 LloydsTSB ATMs.
Lloyds joins the Royal Bank of Scotland, Natwest, the Co-operative Bank, Allied Irish Bank, Creation Financial Services, Tesco Personal Finance and independent ATM deployers Moneybox, TRM and Cardpoint in offering top-ups.
"Every month, more consumers are using the convenience of the LINK ATM network to add airtime, 24 hours a day," said Steve Smith, director of Relationship Management at LINK. "With further banks, building societies and other ATM deployers set to join the top-up service in the very near future, consumer up-take of the service will continue to increase rapidly across the UK."
