Krakowski Bank upgrades to Diebold Nixdorf ATMs

Krakowski Bank Spoldzielczy, based in Poland, has partnered with Diebold Nixdorf to modernize its ATM network with the DN Series ATMs. The ATMs will offer contactless card transactions via an NCF module through a smartphone verifications system, according to a press release.

The ATMs will provide multiple languages and high-brightness screens for good visibility at sunny locations. These machines will help meet the demand for cash in Poland, since 80% of Polish customers want access to cash.

"While cooperative banking customers are eager to use digital payment solutions, cash still plays a very significant role. Following the political and economic uncertainty in recent years, we've seen that the importance of cash has increased. In an emergency situation, our customers have clearly shown that cash is a priority," Tomasz Styczyński, president of the management board at Krakowski Bank, said in the release. "It was at that point we realized the importance of maintaining internal services to effectively support the demand for cash within our own ATM network."
