First Data today announced that Kilowatt Credit Union of Madison, Wis., has joined the Star Network, signing a multi-year agreement under which STAR will provide PIN-secured debit point-of-sale and ATM access to its cardholders. The CU has also First Data for debit processing services.
Kilowatt Credit Union is a $23 million, 3,700-member FI serving the employees and families of Alliant Energy Corporation and its subsidiaries, as well as residents in several Wisconsin counties. Killowatt belongs to the Wisconsin Credit Union League, which has had a relationship with First Data for debit processing services for more than a decade.
"The debit solutions that First Data and Star provide give us not only reliable account access and innovative payment solutions for our members, but also valuable fraud detection, back office and marketing support, and tools that make it easy for us to access the information we need," said Nicki Troia, president of Kilowatt Credit Union.
Kevin Barry, general manager for the STAR Network said, "With the depth of our debit expertise, understanding of end consumer needs, and the reach of our network, First Data and Star help enable the credit union to strengthen member loyalty and successfully meet its members' financial service needs."
