October 6, 2002

CLEVELAND and ELKHART, Ind. -- Elcose Federal Credit Union is the first financial institution in Indiana to sign an agent bank agreement with Cleveland-based KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY). Elcose, a $15 million financial institution serving the financial needs of Elkhart County school employees and students, has two branch locations and no ATMs of its own.

"Our membership works hard for their money and they should have access to it as quickly and easily as possible," said Tom Francis, president at Elcose. "Working with Key gives us a huge boost in customer convenience."

With the signing of Elcose in Indiana, Key now provides regional and national ATM access to banks, savings and loans and credit unions in the Hoosier State, as well as Ohio, Idaho, Maine, New York and Washington. Key also offers Agent Bank services in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Vermont.

Cleveland-based KeyCorp, with assets of approximately $83 billion, has approximately 2,300 ATMs in 18 states.
