KAL enters partnership with Burroughs on ATM software solutions

Burroughs Inc., a service provider for ATMs, safes and related equipment, entered a partnership with KAL to provide hardware-agnostic software solutions as an alternative to existing OEM options. 

The companies plan to bring KAL’s  Kalignite Hypervisor as their first solution to help financial institutions break free from costly and disruptive ATM upgrades, which are required for compliance. 

"This is a fantastic opportunity to open up our world-class ATM software to Borroughs customers, and it gives us a chance to boost our presence within the North American market," KAL CEO Aravinda Korala, said in the announcement. 

Burroughs CEO Anson Martin said the company was excited to work with KAL on the partnership. 

"The addition of these software solutions to our overall portfolio allows us to provide our customers with innovative alternatives so they can extend the lifespan of their technology investment, maximize uptime and achieve greater operational efficiencies," Martin said. 

Burroughs will make the Kalignite Hypervisor available by the second quarter.
