DUBLIN, Ireland - Union Bank for Savings & Investments in Jordan is adding Internet and short message service banking through CR2's BankWorld solution, according to a news release.
CR2, which is a global provider of banking channel software, has been working with Union Bank since 2001, when the bank's eight ATMs launched in Jordan. The bank has now implemented a complete channel management solution that links together the ATM, Internet and mobile, or SMS, channels so that employees and customers will have one view across all accounts.
Through SMS customers can configure alerts via their Internet-banking facility to notify them, for example, when their salaries have hit their accounts. Customers also can have bank balances and mini-statements sent directly to their mobile phones.
