HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - Paragon Application Systems, provider of ATM and EFT simulation, configuration and testing tools, has signed a licensing deal with Information Technology Inc. for use of its ATMulator Plus and FasTest software. ITI, a unit of Fiserv Inc., provides core software and services solutions to financial institutions.
According to a news release, ITI will use Paragon's software to optimize quality control of the ATM and EFT products it supports. ATMulator Plus and FasTest products will be used to conduct unit and regression testing of ATM changes, new ATM program development, and EFT switch interface development. ATMulator Plus' desktop virtual ATM interface allows ITI to see what customers see and do what customers do at Diebold Inc., NCR Corp. and/or Wincor Nixdorf InternationalATMs. With Professional FASTest, ITI can customize EFT message formats to test EFT interfaces between customers and various host systems.
"Paragon tools provide a user-friendly interface to simulate any ATM or EFT message, and the comparison and reporting tools enable us to identify discrepancies easily and efficiently," said Kent E. White, ITI's senior quality control manger. "Use of the tools has greatly decreased development time, plus we're able to create new ATM switch interfaces with fewer programming challenges."
