Greater Iowa Credit Union serves its 31,000 members through its seven locations, including two in Ames, home of Iowa State University. With an eye to attracting young members there — and in other markets — the CU has added new technology to its ATM fleet.
Diebold Inc. installed Opteva 750 deposit-automation-enabled ATMs at all Greater Iowa branches, the company said in a news release. The new machines allow members to make intuitive, teller-like cash and check deposits at the ATM and walk away with detailed receipts featuring images of deposited checks.
"We were looking for the right advancements to deliver added convenience and efficiency for all our members, while ensuring we captured the attention of Millennials," said Greater Iowa president and CEO Scott Zahnle. "Deposit automation has answered the call, for now, but we're also exploring additional opportunities to leverage technologies that will appeal to this growing segment of our member base."
Diebold is also providing channel management for the Greater Iowa fleet. Among other services, the company will remotely manage ATM screen content and push marketing offers to members, and will also provide electronic data capture service that allows the CU to examine transaction activity on its terminals.
As a global technology leader and innovative services provider, Diebold Nixdorf delivers the solutions that enable financial institutions to improve efficiencies, protect assets and better serve consumers.
