Fime, a certification consultancy and provider of testing for secure electronic transactions, has been acquired from Orange by independent investment firm Chequers Capital.
According to a press release, the new ownership framework will enable Fime to offer new services in emerging markets and increase its presence globally.
Chequers Capital will support Fime's offering expansion in consulting services, technical training, technology design, test tools and certification testing, and will add new laboratory locations, according to the release.
"Fime is operating in markets that are experiencing major changes due to technological developments … " said CEO Pascal Le Ray. "The support of Chequers Capital will essentially provide Fime with the agility and resources to accelerate its growth and be even more responsive to our customers' and partners' needs."
The acquisition will not affect Fime's management structure or its 500 employees, the release said.
