India's Aurionpro launches 'Branch-in-a-Box' VTM

July 25, 2017

Mumbai, India-based digital banking specialist Aurionpro Solutions has formally launched the latest model in its Branch-in-a-Box product series — a virtual teller machine.

The new unit offers a fully integrated self-service kiosk for automating 90 percent of banking transactions at a branch, a company press release said.

"In the future, branches will focus less on transaction-driven revenue and more on relationship-based sales, service and consultancy," Raj Menon, Aurionpro executive vice president and head of customer experience solutions, said at a product launch event. "Consequently, traditional transactional engagements involving a teller will rapidly shift to more automation and self-service technologies. ... With the addition of the virtual teller machine to our Branch-in-a-Box product series, Aurionpro is well positioned to help banks drive branch transformations."

The VTM incorporates features that include interactive video telephony and multimodal biometrics to help banks migrate routine transactions — account opening, passbook printing, cash and check deposit, and personalized instant card issuance and activation and more — from the teller window to a self-service kiosk.

As with other products in the Aurionpro portfolio, the VTM is built on the company's ACE platform, whose API-centric architecture provides out-of-the-box functionalities that can be extended to meet individual requirements for a consistent end-user experience.
