The Department of Posts announced it had added 887 ATMs across India. These ATMs are located at post offices to enable access to cash for residents, according to a report by The Hans India.
These ATMs aim to provide cash to underserved and rural areas. Customers can withdraw cash, check balances and do other self-service banking operations.
This is part of a broader campaign of the Indian government to improve financial inclusion.
