India bank to outsource ATM rollout

Rediff India Abroad: State Bank of India, the country's largest lender, has decided to outsource ATM setups to external agencies, all in an effort to save on capital expenditure and reduce rollout time. The bank plans to initially outsource 500 ATMs to vendors, including original equipment manufacturers. To date, the bank has already outsourced back-office work in foreign offices.
