TMCnet: Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the country's largest commercial bank, realized a record high amount of cash handled on its ATMs: CNY 515.3 billion (U.S. $62 billion) in 2005, up CNY 181 billion year on year.
ICBC officials told journalists that financial self-services are receiving rising favor from customers. Last year, the volume of ATM transactions topped 1.62 billion, 510 million more than the year-ago period, and the volume of inter-bank transactions were 128.05 million, up 39 percent.
