Hypercom launches ATM conversion service

PARIS - Hypercom Corp. has extended its electronic-payment-networking solution offerings for the ATM market through its ATMConnect, a service that upgrades dial-up ATMs to Internet protocol.
The new service is built around the Hypercom ATMConnect 5100, an Internet gateway that plugs directly into legacy dial-up ATMs.
The device converts dial messages to IP, provides secure SSL encryption of all transactions, and supports either broadband or wireless connectivity.
