COLUMBUS, Ohio - Huntington Bancshares Inc. and Walgreen Co. have closed a deal that will add 99 Huntington ATMs in Walgreen stores across Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, according to a news release. The installation of the ATMs will begin in April, and the deal will expand Huntington's ATM network to 800 machines.
"We are always looking for ways to expand our ATM network to make it easier for customers to bank with Huntington," said Mary Navarro, retail group head. "To accomplish that with a company the caliber of Walgreens is a success for Huntington that aligns with our corporate vision of delivering the best service."
In addition to the Walgreen Co. deal, Huntington plans to add, upgrade or replace more than 400 ATMs across its markets in 2005.
