Home Federal Bank renews agreements with First Data and Star

June 29, 2010

Home Federal Bank, a Knoxville, Tenn., financial institution, today announced that it has renewed its contract with First Data Corp. to provide ATM and debit-card processing, risk management and Internet banking services.

Home Federal, a full-service community bank with $1.9 billion in assets and 23 branches in four counties, owns 26 ATMs, Debra Smith, the bank's executive vice president and retail banking division manager, tells ATMmarketplace.com.

The financial institution also renewed its membership in Star electronic funds transfer network, which is owned by Atlanta-based First Data. Home Federal has been a Star member since 1998.

"We have a good relationship with both companies. We saw no need to change," Smith said. Neither Home Federal nor First Data disclosed terms of the contract renewals.
