Hanco installs 6,000th ATM in UK

August 1, 2004

LONDON - Hanco Systems has installed its 6000th ATM, making it the largest provider of standalone convenience cash machine services in the United Kingdom.

The milestone machine, installed at Spirit Group's Fisherman's Arms in Willesden, London, is part of a large project to roll out Hanco ATMs to 1,350 of Spirit's pubs.

According to a news release, Hanco machines are replacing around 150 Scott Todd machines, and are now in place at more than half of the company's pubs across the UK.

"We want cash machines to be a standard feature in our pubs. Our customers find them very convenient and we have seen a great return on investment from the Hanco machines we have had in place for some time," said Bridget Bridgett, Spirit Group's director of Machines, Supplies &  Services. "We have also been very impressed by Hanco's day-to-day customer service and its commitment to rolling out hundreds of machines against tight deadlines."
