GTI's newest Merlin is its least expensive ATM

September 23, 2002

HURST, Texas -- GTI (Greenlink Technologies, Inc.) has introduced the newest member
of its Merlin ATM line, the Merlin III.

The Merlin III, as with the other Merlin models, includes a color screen and electronic lock as standard features. It also offers a 24-month parts warranty, again as a standard feature.

As a new option, GTI is offering a 1/4-inch steel floor plate for the safe cabinet for added security, according to GTI sales director Danny Langston. The plate is offered as an option rather than a built-in standard feature, Langston said, so that distributors can decide whether they want to pay any extra freight that may be required because of the plate's added weight.

The Merlin features the SDD 1700 dispenser made by De La Rue, while the Merlin II uses De La Rue's MiniMech dispenser.

For the Merlin III, GTI is utilizing a dispenser made by Puloon, a South Korean manufacturer of banking automation equipment. The Puloon dispenser has a capacity of 1,000 bills, removable cash tray, reject tray and high reliability, Langston said.

Because the Puloon dispenser has a lower price point than the De La Rue dispensers, Langston said the Merlin III "may be the lowest priced ATM on the market."
