Global Processing Services FZ LLC, has implemented D8 StrongHold, a risk management system, as an extension to the services offered within its prepaid processing platform.

Focusing principally on the prepaid space, GPS maintains a presence in Europe (including Poland and the U.K.), Dubai and India. The company services clients throughout all 31 SEPA countries in Europe, and the Middle East, Australia, the U.S. and Canada, a press release said.

D8 StrongHold is a product of D8 Corp., a Latvia-based IT system integrator and solution vendor for financial institutions, processing companies, e-money issuers, fleet-card processors and retailers in more than 26 countries.

While GPS has employed debit and prepaid fraud-management tools for some time, the company is now stepping up protection through its partnership with D8, said GPS CTO Vlad Yanpolsky.

"The decision to implement the D8 StrongHold fraud management solution gives our clients the added benefit of real-time monitoring," he said. "The system is automated, checks every transaction for risky activity and then takes the necessary actions to prevent the fraud from happening. D8 StrongHold meets our risk-management requirements on running fraud prevention for complex and agile prepaid and debit programs."

D8 CEO Juris Ščerbickis, said that the company's multi-institution configuration of StrongHold has been used as part of the implementation project allows GPS to separate risk management-related services offered to its customers.

"D8 StrongHold detects and prevents fraudulent activities that are arriving from all channels of remote banking services by aggregating required statistics and using its advanced business rules engine capabilities," he said. "D8 StrongHold reacts on fraud incidents in the real-time mode."
