GLN International to enable QR cash withdrawals in Japan, Vietnam, Laos

GLN International has announced it will extend its QR cash withdrawal solution in Japan, Vietnam and Laos. With this service, travellers to Japan can use a connected GLN app such as Hana Pay, Hana Money, KB Star Banking and others at Seven Bank ATMs to access cash, according to a press release.

Customers in Vietnam can use BIDV ATMs, while those in Laos can use BCEL ATMs via six GLN-connected apps

"With the expansion of QR cash withdrawal services across Japan, Vietnam, and Laos, more travelers can now conveniently withdraw cash overseas using familiar domestic apps. We will continue to lead in delivering simple withdrawal experiences that eliminate the need for currency exchange or physical cards," Suk Lee, CEO of GLN, said in the release.

GLN has also partnered with several other financial platforms like Moreta Pay in North America, DeCard App in Singapore and Taishin Bank in Taiwan for cash withdrawals.
