Texas-based companies GivePay Commerce and Cord Financial Services have struck an agreement allowing GivePay to offer digital gift cards and prepaid wireless products to users of Cord ATMs in markets that include California, Florida, Texas and others.
"This is exciting new technology for the ATM industry that provides additional value-added services to our existing fleet of ATMs," Cord President Kenneth Gilbert said in a press release. "We believe all of our customers will benefit from adding the GivePay Gift Card Mall."
The GivePay platform offers ATM users the opportunity to shop for gift cards by selecting GivePay from the main menu. Customers can choose from a wide selection of digital gift cards for any occasion, the release said. An additional wireless option allows users to purchase airtime for their prepaid mobile phone.
Cards and digital greetings are sent instantly to the recipient's smartphones via SMS. ATM customers receive a confirmation text when their gift card is delivered or their prepaid wireless payment is confirmed.
Digital gift cards sent by GivePay can be saved to recipients' smart phones with ease. There's no need for plastic and no app download is required.

GivePay is currently in the final testing phase for its product. The agreement with Cord calls for a pilot launch of GivePay on select Nautilus Hyosung terminals beginning in October.
