FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. and DALLAS/FT. WORTH -- Genpass Inc. announced the closing as of July 12, 2000, of its acquisition of Affiliated Computer Services' (ACS) ATM-related businesses.
The businesses will now operate under newly-formed parent company Genpass Inc., which is headed by electronic banking pioneer Bipin C. Shah, president and CEO. "Our formula for success is simple. We focus on customer service, customized solutions for customer needs, and on product enhancement to keep the business in the forefront of the industry," Shah said.
Included in the acquisition is the MoneyMaker ATM network, the fifth- largest ATM terminal driver and the seventh-largest transaction switch in the U.S. MoneyMaker supports over 16,000 ATMs in 49 states and processes more than 220 million transactions annually.
A newly-formed subsidiary, Genpass Technologies Inc., will operate MoneyMaker. Also under Genpass Technologies Inc. is Genpass Service Solutions Inc., an independent ATM servicing organization with over 350 banking, credit union, retailer and casino customers.
Genpass Inc. is owned and operated by GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC, a private equity investment firm. Genpass has offices in Pennsylvania, Texas and California.
