GCA to rebrand as Everi

The company says its new brand will be an important asset as it works to address new opportunities and expand market share.

Global Cash Access Holdings Inc., a provider of gaming and payments solutions, recently announced that it will officially rebrand as Everi Holdings Inc. effective Aug. 24, when it also will begin trading under the new ticker symbol "EVRI."

According to a press release, the new name (and logo, right) reflect the company's successful transition to a full-service casino gaming equipment and payment solutions provider

"The transition to the powerful Everi brand reflects our belief that we are a dynamic, growing organization delivering gaming, security and intelligence solutions to casino operators and engaging games and transactional security to patrons," GCA President and CEO Ram V. Chary said in the release. "The Everi brand is an important asset for us to use as we address new opportunities and expand the company's market share."

GCA's payments business provides access to ATM cash at gaming facilities, as well as credit card cash transactions, POS debit transactions, and check verification, among numerous other services.

The company's gaming business includes electronic gaming units and systems for casinos and racetracks.
