Global Banking Margie Bachman is the Global Executive, ATM/Self Service Solutions, in the Global Banking unit, the largest industry within IBM. In this capacity she oversees the company's self service strategy, solutions portfolio, and business results within the financial customer base IBM serves worldwide. Margie comes well qualified for this position with over 25 of her 28 years with IBM spent in the finance sector. She has worked directly with clients as well as having extensive experience in solution development. Her solutions career covers solution development, marketing and deployment. In particular, Margie has worked in all the major banking channels. She was responsible for the deployment of major ATM networks, internet banking and branch banking projects. These projects were deployed across a range of banking customers � from small and medium sized banks to large financial institutions. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Frank D'Angelo Executive Vice President and General Manager Metavante EFT and Card Division In my current position as head of the EFT and Card Division at Metavante Corporation, the technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corp., I am in the unique position of being able to listen to and facilitate the ATM strategies of our financial institution clients, for which we provide transaction processing and drive over 9,000 ATMs, while also working with and maintaining relationships with the major ATM-hardware and -software vendors and networks. Prior to joining Metavante, I spent 19 years with Diebold in senior management positions in sales, service management, development, operations, product management, and information services operations. Before Diebold, I was with Burroughs Corporation, now Unisys, for 11 years and was active in product management, sales, sales development, and operational support. During his 20 years in self-service banking, Jim has taken a leadership role as the industry evolved the ATM from its beginnings as a high-risk investment to the absolute necessity that it has become. In his present position at FleetBoston Financial, Jim continues to champion the ongoing evolution of the channel. Recent implementations include automated software distribution; a key component of Fleet's targeted marketing capabilities and the introduction of a Windows, XFS-based ATM platform. Through its 3,500 ATM network across the Northeast, Fleet's customers enjoy self-service capabilities ranging from online PIN change and personalization options to account statements, bill payment and brokerage access. Fleet ATM technology is also leveraged in support of the diverse communities the bank serves by offering voice guided transactions for the blindness community and full service ATM banking in seven languages.
Doug Deitel Executive Vice President, Corporate Services Cardtronics Douglas Deitel, executive vice president of Cardtronics, has almost 30 years of experience in financial services and banking. He joined Cardtronics in 2000 after working at Fiserv Solutions, Inc. and Citizens National Bank. Cardtronics acquired the ATM portfolios of McLane FSP and Diebold in 2001 and 2002, respectively. In 2003, the company acquired sizeable portfolios from American Express, Winn-Dixie Stores and National Bank Equipment Corporation (NBEC), adding nearly 4,000 additional ATM locations. With nearly 13,000 locations, Cardtronics is the third largest independent ATM deployer and the single largest independent ATM owner in the country.
Richard A. DuVall Senior Product Manager, ATM/Smartcard ACI Worldwide Inc. Rick DuVall joined ACI Worldwide in January 1998 and has global product management responsibilities for ATM and Smartcard products. He has more than 27 years experience in the EFT and banking industry and 31 years experience in Information Technology. Rick is on the Board of Directors of the IFX Forum and vice chairman of the IFX ATM/POS Working Group; is a member of the EFTA ATM Integrity Task Force and sits on the ATMmarketplace Future Trends Executive Round Table. Prior to joining ACI Worldwide, Rick worked at CUNA Service Group as EFT Switch Manager and before that he spent 18 years at Firstar Bank, where he managed several EFT and consumer payment related departments. Alan D. Falconer is senior vice president for Paragon Data Services. Falconer is responsible for Paragon's transaction processing and information technology consulting practice, including the integration and coordination of advanced software technologies and systems. Falconer brings to Paragon clients more than 27 years of information technology experience, most recently 19 years with Diebold, Inc. There he held a number of senior level positions focused on the marketing, sales, and integration of EFT related software systems.
Paragon Data Services is an information technology and management consulting company with headquarters in Dearborn, Mich. Paragon's information technology customers include financial service organizations, utilities, electronic funds transfer networks, e-commerce, and manufacturing companies.
Falconer's most recent position at Diebold was Director -- Global Systems Sales. Prior to joining Diebold, he was vice president, user support for full service medical systems in Plymouth, Mich., and also worked with Burroughs Corp. in its Time Sharing and Data Centers operation. He holds a degree in business data processing from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich., in operations research and information systems from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich., and has completed program work in management development from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., and executive leadership from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Thomas Frey is the Executive Director and Senior Futurist at the DaVinci Institute. He frequently speaks on the "future of money" topic to people all across the country. Mr. Garbutt has an extensive background in the Canadian Banking and ABM services industry. Previous to joining Threshold Financial Technologies, he was National Account Manager with Brink's Canada Ltd., responsible for financial institutions.
Having served with Brink's for more than 11 years, Mr. Garbutt brings seasoned field and corporate sales and sales management experience to Laser Cash. Mr. Garbutt developed Brinks' White Label servicing program and forged the first of many key strategic relationships with premier industry suppliers such as IBM Canada. These accomplishments, coupled with his knowledge of the armoured car industry, add significant strength to the Threshold management team.
Mr. Garbutt has gone on to develop some of the core Threshold solutions offered in the marketplace today.

Prior to this Mark led various projects within NCR, including development of the communications hardware platform that enabled �third generation' ATMs to connect into 27 major environments of that time such as SDLC and SNA, thus allowing the ATM to operate on almost any financial network. In the early 1990s, when NCR merged with AT&T, he was heavily involved in developing video conferencing technologies with Bell Laboratories and then went on to spend several years evangelizing the business opportunities in visual communications on behalf of NCR and AT&T.
A true champion of innovation for NCR, he has created a methodology for introducing emerging technologies into the commercial marketplace. Mark has submitted 48 invention disclosures resulting in the award of more than 20 patents relating to self-service. He has participated in a number of discussions with The White House and provided key material for inclusion in the presidential report on Accessibility.
