Fujitsu signs OEM agreement with ARCA.TECH Systems

July 25, 2002

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- Dallas-based Fujitsu Transaction Solutions has signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with ARCA.TECH Systems, a privately owned company based in Hillsborough, N.C., that specializes in automating cash handling operations.

Under the agreement, Fujitsu will provide cash dispensers for ARCA.TECH's teller-assist systems for financial institutions. In addition, ARCA.TECH has contracted to become the first reseller of Fujitsu's cash dispenser product line, including the F50, F100, F400 and F510 units.

Through its relationship with Fujitsu, ARCA.TECH will expand its teller-assist system product line to include five- and six-denomination units. It will begin offering its five-cassette dispenser, the ARCA.CASH 2500, in the third quarter of this year.

Fujitsu's F510 dispenser -- which will be housed in the ARCA.TECH 2500 -- supports up to five cassettes with a total capacity of nearly 15,000 U.S. notes. The F510 is also capable of dispensing postage stamps, coupons, pre-paid phone cards or other specialized media.

Fujitsu's reputation for reliability and its local service networks were keys in the decision to sign the agreement, according to ARCA.TECH's president, Mort O'Sullivan.

"These features are important to our domestic and international markets, which include South Africa, Australia, Russia, Canada, Germany and Korea," O'Sullivan said.

Fujitsu introduced its OEM program in 2000.
