MONTREAL -- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. has received its first Canadian network certification for its Series 8000 ATMs, from CGI Group Inc.
According to a news release, CGI serves more than 2,300 credit unions and banks and drive more than 5,000 ATMs on its CyberGateway ATM management platform.
"Many of our Canadian customers are users of Fujitsu's ATM technology; this certification will enable them to deliver high value solutions," said CGI senior consultant David Bardowell, in the release.
"This project represents a key step toward achieving certification on all major ATM networks in North America," said Bill Witte, Fujitsu's senior vice president of financial systems. "Now, Canadian financial services providers -- both traditional and non-traditional -- can expand services and build revenue through the creative offering of new ATM services."
