TOKYO -- Fujitsu has introduced a compact ATM that takes up one-third less floor space than a conventional ATM, according to Nikkei English News.
The machine measures 45 by 45 centimeters at its base and was designed especially for convenience stores. With special attachments, the ATM can accept coins and process utility payments.
Fujitsu plans to market the small ATM to financial institutions that want to install more machines in convenience stores. Fujitsu plans to sell 20,000 units over the next three years.
