FSS boosts data security with PCI DSS certification

August 4, 2017

Chennai, India-based FSS, a payments and fintech provider, has completed a PCI audit of its FSS NeT hosted payment services environment and received certification of compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Version 3.2.

FSS said in a press release that it is among only a few third-party payment processors globally to receive PCI DSS 3.2 certification for its hosted payment services environment.

PCI DSS 3.2 certification of the FSSNeT suite of technical and operational controls assures banks and payment processors of a defense-in-depth solution for the protection of their sensitive data, the release said.

The certification applies to payment processing and switching services that include:

  • transaction processing and switching, mobile payments, aadhar-enabled payment system, payment gateway;
  • ATM terminal driving and monitoring, managed ATM services — electronic journal management;
  • 3D secure authentication services;
  • card issuance and management; and
  • back-office reconciliation services.

"The PCI DSS certification demonstrates, yet again, our strong commitment to adhere to the best industry practices around security of applications and environment," Suresh Rajagopalan, president of software products at FSS, said in the release. "PCI-DSS V 3.2 compliance enables us to tighten already stringent security processes and procedures to provide financial institutions the confidence to operate security-sensitive payment services in a hosted environment, lowering the burden of compliance overheads whilst maintaining the payments security standards."
