NEW YORK - CardTechSecurTech Conference 2007, a SourceMedia event, will feature a keynote luncheon and book signing with former FBI director Louis Freeh. The luncheon is slated for May 14 from 12 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Freeh is heralded for transforming the FBI from a law-enforcement agency to a global security institution. In his eight-year tenure, he took the lead in keeping the FBI at the forefront of investigative techniques, particularly in the use of advanced technologies to fight the evolving area of cybercrime.
According to a news release, during his keynote Freeh will offer expertise and counsel about confronting global security and privacy issues as well as insight into some of the most-recent government initiatives to make U.S. borders more secure. After his keynote, from 3 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Freeh sign his book, "My FBI: Bringing Down the Mafia, Investigating Bill Clinton, and Fighting the War on Terror."
CTST is North America's largest card technology conference, covering secure payment transactions and IT and physical access security. It is divided into two segments, CardTech and SecurTech, to give attendees two conferences at one event.
