Bank of America has launched a new generation of "express" banking centers that cater to the customer's desire for convenience. These facilities offer a more flexible schedule than a full-service branch, and provide both the benefits of technology and the assistance of onsite associates, the FI said in a news release.
"We are working to make the customer experience with Bank of America reflect how people live their lives every day," said Katy Knox, a retail banking and distribution executive at Bank of America. "With the addition of express centers, our retail business offers customers more flexibility and convenience."
The express banking center features ATMs with Teller Assist, providing customers with the same level of personal assistance they would receive at a banking center counter, the BofA release said. The ATMs offer support in both English and Spanish, as well as a number of advanced capabilities:
The ATMs also provide traditional services, including balance checking and statement printing.
The first BofA express banking center opened on Aug. 26 in Manhattan. Five more centers will open in Boston, Charlotte and the New York metro area by the end of the year. Plans for 2014 will depend on customer feedback from the initial locations.
"Bank of America is paying close attention to the direction customers provide us," said Rob Aulebach, a retail distribution planning and execution executive. [W]e are committed to simplifying their banking experience with easy-to-use tools, technologies, products and services that can guide and inform their financial decisions."
