Florida FCU turns to Vantiv for transaction processing, card security

Vantiv Inc., a provider of payment processing and technology solutions, has been selected by McCoy Federal Credit Union to provide processing services.

With 60,000 members and assets of more than a half-billion dollars, McCoy FCU is one of the largest credit unions in Central Florida, a press release from Vantiv said.

Under the agreement, Vantiv will provide full-service integrated processing solutions for debit, credit and ATM transactions. 

The deal also includes MobiMoney, a Vantiv mobile app that gives accountholders control of card functionality, including the ability to turn cards on and off and receive instant card activity alerts on their mobile device.

Member accounts will be further protected by OmniShield, a real time fraud detection product from Vantiv, the release said.

"We wanted a mobile app to provide our members increased security and more control over their money, and Vantiv had an excellent one ready to go," Basil Buchanan, vice president of lending at McCoy, said in the release. "MobiMoney has all the features we needed, giving our members an improved way to fight fraud."

"When we talked to McCoy, one of their goals was to enroll more members and increase the credit union's wallet share," said Bill Hampton, senior vice president and general manager of financial institution services at Vantiv. "Through our partnership, we will provide McCoy with the innovations, technology and resources necessary to help them become the preferred, top-of-wallet choice for more of their members."
