Fiserv, Siscoop partnership intros first digital banking service for CU members in Mexico

April 26, 2018

Siscoop, a cooperative providing services to credit unions in Mexico, has teamed with technology solutions provider Fiserv Inc. in a project that will enable members of 26 credit unions to access digital banking services.

According to a press release, this marks the first time that CU members in Mexico will have access to services via digital platforms.

Siscoop will use DigitalAccess from Fiserv for online and mobile banking. The end-to-end multitenant digital solution will allow CUs to introduce a full range of digital banking and payment services quickly and securely, the release said.

Siscoop member Caja Popular Mexicana, the largest credit union in Mexico and one of the largest in Latin America, will be the first to deploy DigitalAccess. The FI's 2 million members will be able to bank via mobile and desktop browsers and native applications for Apple and Android devices, including smartphones and tablets.

In addition to accessing account information, members will be able to sign up for text and email alerts, receive in-app notifications, transfer funds between accounts, pay bills and make person-to-person payments.

"The ability to offer full-featured digital banking places us on par with the leading financial institutions in Mexico," CPM Commercial Director Alfonso Garcia said in the release.

"We can now provide our members with access to their accounts anytime, anywhere, transforming the way our members bank and increasing our competitiveness. We are proud to help change people's everyday lives by providing access to convenient and practical digital banking capabilities."
