FIS and INETCO expand working relationship

December 20, 2010

Fidelity National Information Services Inc. (FIS) has expanded its licensing agreement with INETCO Systems Ltd., both companies recently announced.

Fidelity, which provides core processing for financial institutions that are payment card issuers, has deployed INETCO Insight to monitor the transactions. The monitoring will ensure Fidelity is meeting Visa, MasterCard and EFT networks' service agreements, said Marc Borbas, INETCO vice president of marketing.

"INETCO Insight ensures that card transactions are moving fast enough and in the right order," Borbas said. The monitoring also helps to eliminate system downtime.

The end-to-end processing solutions are critical to success, said Neil Cook, director of EFT Technology for FIS, which has its headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla. FIS serves more than 14,000 institutions in 100 countries.

"With INETCO Insight, the EFT network and operations teams can monitor a customer's entire end-to-end FIS solution, including network performance and the host processing applications' performance," Cook said. "In addition INETCO can isolate issues affecting any transaction in a matter of seconds."

FIS's new agreement with Vancouver, British Columbia-based INETCO is an extension of an existing contract between the two companies. FIS also employs INETCO's BankLink software that connects lease-line ATMs to Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Internet Protocol (IP) networks.
