First Data deal gets final thumbs up

The Associated Press: First Data Corp. said last week that it has received all federal and international regulatory approvals for its $29 billion acquisition by an affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of September.
