Fifth Third earns quality award

May 2, 2006

CINCINNATI - Fifth Third Bank Processing Solutions, a division of Fifth Third Bancorp, has received the Visa 2004 Member Service Quality Performance Award for the 10th consecutive year, according to a news release. Fifth Third earned top honors for lowest chargeback-to-sales ratio among credit card processors, a category that reflects an acquirer's ability to effectively educate its merchant customers on Visa's acceptance procedures designed to ensure that transactions are properly processed at the point of sale.

"Visa bestows these awards on the best processors and acquirers in the industry," said Thomas Fowler, vice president of client relations for Visa U.S.A.

Visa established the Service Quality Awards Program in 1992 to recognize exceptional card operations performance by card issuers and acquiring members. The awards acknowledge consistent, superior performance and emphasize continued service and quality improvement.

"Fifth Third provides our customers with the best-in-class processing services available," said Fifth Third Bank Processing Solutions president Charles Drucker.
