Prairie Cloudware, a provider of omnichannel digital payments services, has implemented its Digital Payments Guardian mobile wallet on behalf of an unnamed "multibillion dollar regional bank," according to a press release.
The wallet facilitates tap-and-pay transactions with tokenized credit or debit card numbers held in a secure, bank-branded mobile wallet environment.
The solution uses industry standard tokens provided by the card networks, as well as NFC tap-and-pay using Android HCE, at the point of sale, the release said.
"The largest financial institutions in the U.S. are taking control of the mobile relationships they have with customers by issuing their own mobile wallets," said Prairie Cloudware chief revenue officer Doug Parr. "The future of payments is now, and consumers shouldn't have to wait any longer to gain access to a convenient, secure and preferred mobile payments experience provided by their bank or credit union."
Digital Payments Guardian integrates directly with the bank's payments processing services and acts as an extension of its digital channel, the release said. In so doing, it expands an FI's customer touch points engaging the institution in consumers' everyday transactions.
