The Idaho Statesman: Boise, Idaho, police are investigating the city's second known case of ATM skimming after bank customers found a device meant to steal account and PIN numbers on a Washington Mutual Bank ATM over the weekend, police department spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said. Last year's skimming case was not discovered until bank customers noticed losses in their accounts. Police don't know whether last weekend's incidents are related to the 2004 crimes, but the more recent cases produced a good lead, police said. This is the first time police have been able to obtain the skimming device, which included a black card reader and a false keypad. Police have sent the device to the U.S. Secret Service for analysis.
