SAN DIEGO -- Evergreen Teller Services Inc. will use CAIS Software Solutions' IPORT™ Public Terminal System (PTS) and Central Monitoring Service (CMT) for Evergreen's planned network of public Internet access-equipped kiosks.
Evergreen, a Grass Valley, Calif.-based provider of off-premise services for ATMs, plans to deploy 500 kiosks in 58 locations throughout the U.S.
The modular kiosks, or "E-Machines," will include the functionality of a traditional ATM, a pre-paid phone card dispenser and an Internet kiosk.
"We see Internet terminals as becoming as ubiquitous as ATM machines," said Daniel Pina, president and CEO of ETS. "In order to meet the public demand for quick Internet access, we have to move quickly and supply our new and existing customers with a robust, reliable and secure product."
CAIS will equip the machines with its IPORT™ family of high-speed Internet access software and services. CAIS also will supply monitoring from its network operations center in San Diego. The center has the ability to process payments, update content, dispatch service calls and report on usage and revenue.
