Euronet posts higher profit, revenue

Kansas City Business Journal:Acquisition-driven growth in its prepaid processing segment drove Euronet Inc.'s higher third-quarter earnings and revenue compared with the same quarter last year. After the market closed Oct. 25, the Leawood-based financial-transaction processor reported earnings of $10.2 million for the quarter that ended Sept. 30 - a 7 percent increase from 2004's earnings of $6 million.

The prepaid processing segment reported revenue of $107.7 million, up 43 percent from $75.4 million last year.
