Euronet announces management changes, additions

December 6, 2006

LEAWOOD, Kan. - Euronet Worldwide Inc. announced Dec. 7 that Daniel R. Henry will step back from his role as president and chief operating officer at the end of the year.

Henry co-founded Euronet 12 years ago with Mike Brown, who now serves as Euronet's chairman and chief executive. Henry also has served as the company's COO since 1996 and as president since 2001.

According to a news release, Henry will stay on as a company director for the remainder of his three-year term, which ends in 2009.

Euronet says it does not plan to immediately replace Henry. Instead, the company will divide Henry's day-to-day responsibilities between Brown and other key executives.

Euronet also announced the following management appointments: Larry Fogelson has been named managing director of Euronet's Veloz money-transfer business; Steve Adams has been named director of operations for Euronet's Europe, Middle East and Africa EFT business segment; and Karyn Clewes Zaborny has been named senior vice president of human resources.

In November 2006, Euronet also announced that it expects to sign a stock-purchase agreement to acquire Ria Envia Inc., the third-largest global money transfer company by market share. Fogelson will help oversee the integration of that business into Euronet's existing operations while focusing on expanding RIA's remittance services across high-growth markets throughout the world.

Fogelson spent 20 years with First Data Corp. in senior management positions before joining Euronet.

Adams will oversee information-technology and operations-management activities for Euronet's ATM and point-of-sale networks in EMEA. Adams also is responsible for developing and implementing card-processing capabilities for credit-card issuers to complement Euronet's current EFT offerings.

Adams most recently served as the chief operating officer for Barclaycard's International division.

Zaborny will lead the company's global human-resources functions.
