Elavon, Société Générale partner on pan-European payments, acquiring

Elavon, a global payments provider and subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, has partnered with financial services group Société Générale for payments acceptance and acquiring services across Europe, according to a press release. 

Société Générale business clients will now have access to Elavon cross-border payment capabilities in the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland.

Elavon payments services include acceptance of electronic payments from payment cards, digital wallets, alternative payment methods and real-time bank transfer capabilities. The company offers a full range of payments solutions to leading international businesses across more than 30 countries in Europe, the release said.

This includes the Elavon omnicommerce payment solution, which offers businesses the ability to accept payments in any payment environment needed, including in-store, mobile, mail/telephone order and online.
