Elavon certifies Cayan Genius Platform for EMV processing

Payment technology provider Cayan has attained EMV certification with payments processor Elavon, a global payments company and subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp.

Merchants can now process credit and debit chip card transactions through the Cayan Genius Platform EMV gateway to Elavon. The company is also EMV-certified with Vantiv and First Data, according to a press release.

In addition to EMV gateway capabilities, the Cayan Genius Platform offers a configurable, cloud-based payment solution that allows merchants to manage the entire customer experience across locations and channels all while keeping sensitive cardholder data off of the POS system. 

Genius allows merchants to accept all forms of payment, including mobile wallets; its ChipIQ technology enables chip card transaction processing in as little as four seconds, the release said.
