Elan, Hyosung partner in branch transformation solution

The companies say they have joined forces to deliver cash recycling functionality for ATMs in North America.

Nautilus Hyosung America, a provider of ATMs andbranch transformation solutions, has announced its partnership with EFT processor Elan Financial Services to provide banks and their customers with assisted self-service technology. Elan customers will have access to Hyosung MX8800 and MX 7800i solutions for implementation of a staff-assisted channel for routine transactions, according to a press release.

The recycling capability of the MX8800 combined with Elan's comprehensive cash management system allows bank branches to use customer-deposited cash for future withdrawals, reducing the frequency of cash replenishments. In addition, Elan's flexible processing platform provides high availability and responsive processing of ATM and debit transactions, the release said.

"The combination of cash recycling, multidenomination cash and single-deposit settlement represents a significant step forward in branch service delivery and efficiency and an improved consumer experience."

The solution provides convenience to customers carrying out everyday transactions, and frees staff to consult at greater length with customers whose needs are more complex, the release said.
