Elan Financial intros data warehouse app to help manage ATM, debit programs

November 10, 2003

MINNEAPOLIS - Elan Financial Services has introduced a new data warehouse application that it says will help financial institutions analyze data and make better decisions.

The new application, eQuest, is designed to keep financial institutions informed about their ATM and debit programs by tracking transaction history and providing comprehensive reporting to help identify emerging trends, according to a news release.

With eQuest, financial institutions can access information through a series of structured, easy-to-use reports that can be downloaded and managed to provide the data needed by the user. For instance, a financial institution will be able to track certain trends within their ATM program to ensure that the needs of their cardholders are being met and to make decisions regarding ATM locations.

eQuest is accessed through a secure Internet connection and requires no additional software to install, according to the release. Clients of Elan will be able to view a variety of data, including 180 days of transaction detail data and up to 24 months of summary level data.

"Introducing eQuest to a financial institution's daily operation can help them evaluate and respond to specific cardholder behavior and trends," said Jan Estep, Elan's executive vice president. "Our clients will now have the ability to evaluate this information to assist them in making important decisions regarding new ATM locations, card marketing programs, fee structure and new product development."

Elan Financial Services, as part of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB), supports more than 6,500 ATMs, 15 million ATM/debit cards, and 2 million credit cardholders with products and services including credit card issuing, ATM, debit card, and merchant processing.
